Breast health includes a complex mix of healthy diet, exercise, self-exam and mammography. When a mammogram is needed, West Houston offers digital mammography in two convenient locations – at the West Houston Medical Center and Sugar Land Diagnostic Center.
Our Breast Health Services feature:
- Softer Mammogram®, a soft foam breast cushion provided for every screening mammogram at West Houston Medical Center.
- Breast Specific Gamma Imaging, a new technique that provides greater detail when a first mammogram shows an area of concern
- ICAD (Computer Aided Detection), which can detect 25% of breast cancers an average of 14 months earlier than a regular mammogram
